Breast Reduction

Women with extremely large breasts often experience physical symptoms that negatively impact their quality of life. Back, neck, or shoulder pain caused by the weight of large breasts is a significant complaint. For some women, the size of their breasts interferes with the types and amount of physical activity they can engage in.

Other women have one breast that is considerably larger than the other. Though such physical difficulties can be significant, often it is the painful self-consciousness associated with having excessively large breasts that is most damaging. Luckily, all of these problems can be addressed with a breast reduction procedure to improve the size and shape of the breasts. Breast reduction involves the removal of breast tissue and excess skin. Removing tissue decreases the size of the breast. Meanwhile, eliminating excess skin performs the important aesthetic function of allowing the breasts to sit higher on the chest, creating a youthful and fit appearance.
